Wyomissing

Wyomissing is a beautiful, green, qualified “tree city”. The Borough also provides numerous activities throughout the year, including parades, concerts, and swimming pool activities, among a few other events. Over 175 acres of lush parklands are maintained for the enjoyment of Borough residents. Season skating is provided when conditions permit and organized ice hockey games are common events. Tennis courts are available for Borough residents at the Happy Hollow Playground and next to the public Stone House.

Parents are proud to put their children in the hands of both the Wyomissing Area School District and the Wilson School District. The Wyomissing Area School District Serves the areas of the Borough south of the railroad tracks and the Wyomissing Hills area. It includes Wyomissing Hills Elementary Center, serving grades K-4, West Reading Elementary Center, serving grades 5-6, and Wyomissing Area Jr. and Sr. High School, serving grades 7-12. The Wilson School District serves all other areas north of the railroad, including Berkshire Heights and Greenwood Mall. It operates seven elementary schools (K-6), two junior high schools (7-9), and one district high school (10-12).

The Stone House is a beautiful lakeside venue that may be used by Borough residents for parties and meetings. It is a wonderful gem that brings the community together very often. The Stone House outside grounds may be reserved for picnics by any resident of Wyomissing. There is no charge for the use of the outside area.

The greater Reading area has seen a significant amount of achievements. For example, this area has been recognized as one of the top five areas in the United States for emerging markets. USA Today and the “Today Show” have even featured the Reading area for this recognition and for the many opportunities available in Real Estate.
